Video content is not going away! In fact, it’s more important than ever so we’ll continue helping you out as much as we can.
Think about including video content in your emails:
The subject line – merely mentioning the word ‘video’ in an email subject line can increase the clickthrough rate by 13%.
Increase leads – adding videos to your emails can increase click rates by 300%. Rather than embedding the actual video filed (which could cause your email to be blocked as spam and decrease viewership), put a screenshot or a still from the video into your email as an image, along with a link to the video on you YouTube channel.
Create videos for open houses and promotions – on average, people spend 2.6 times longer on pages that include videos. Videos can even boost conversion rates by up to 80%. Record a bespoke video for your open day event and send it over to us and we’ll add it to your landing page.
Get personal – this is one to really help you stand out from the crowd. A few ways you could do this are:
- Replying to emails with a short video (instead of a written reply)
- Thanking patients when they finish treatment via a video and including their before and afters
- Considering both prospective and current patients
- Recording on a smartphone?
- Check that the battery is charged
- Make sure you have enough storage
- Don’t use the zoom feature
- Hold the phone horizontally
- Use a table-top tripod
- Buy an external microphone (about £30/$45 on Amazon)
Re-purpose content and ‘shoot for the edit’ – plan for slightly longer shoots and film some additional footage. This way, during editing, you can create multiple videos for multiple channels – all from one shoot.
Video length – there is no right or wrong here, and it will differ from practice to practice, but as a general rule these lengths get the best response times:
- YouTube – 2 minutes
- Facebook – 1 minute
- Twitter – 45 seconds
- Instagram – 30 seconds
